Equipment Maintenance Technician Trainee

Summary:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician - Trainee provides preventive maintenance and repairs to Employment Support Services (ESS) sewing machines and other associated production equipment machineryAssist in other routine maintenance activities at the Smyth, Twin, and Wythe facilitiesThis position will be located at the Wythe ESSThis position will train under the current Equipment Maintenance Technicians.
Essential Functions:
1In cooperation with the appropriate facility personnel, develop and implement a schedule of preventive maintenance on all designated equipment2Provide for the preventive maintenance and repairs of sewing machines and other production-related equipment used at all 3 ESS facilities.
3Keep appropriate facility personnel informed of parts needed for equipment and assist as requested in the sourcing and purchasing process.
4Assist as requested in performing routine maintenance of facility and associated equipment at all 3 facilities.
5Participate in meetings held for a variety of purposes including production, in-service training, etc.
6Participate in the agency's accident-prevention program and actively promote safe practices in the delivery of services and manufacturing of products.
OTHER DUTIES:
oPerform such other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or the Equipment Maintenance Technicians Training.
Qualifications:
oKnowledge of machine mechanics, automotive mechanics, etc.
oBasic mathematics/measurementsoTroubleshooting skillsoGood time management skillsoAbility to work alone with minimal supervisionoAbility to work as part of a team to achieve a common goaloAbility to train under the guidance of the Equipment Maintenance TechniciansMinimum Requirements EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.
